"On behalf of all our partners, I must thank everybody that has supported the IG Tour. I am sure that in the future, we will be proud of this Tour. The establishment of the IG Tour within the support panorama of European golf and helping create better, more ambitious players is our biggest challenge. The IG Tour is open to all players that wish to compete, develop and enjoy this wonderful game. Welcome to all."

IGT events are offered at this stage development in a mix of 3 day individual professional events and tournaments in a Pro Am format. By offering this combination of events the IGT brings together the life blood of golf which is the everyday amateur player, irrespective of his ability seeking to enjoy playing with the professional, the elite amateur aspiring to one day compete as a full time Tour professional, and the current tournament professional looking for events that offer practice and tournament golf over the winter months.

The standard 3 day IGT tournaments are 54 hole events with no cut enabling players to get in a full 3 days of competition, some of which have a pro am. These tournaments are essentially "pay and play" events with the prize fund being determined by the number of professional players entering each event. As the IGT grows, with the sponsorship and membership base increasing, the minimum prize fund levels will also be gradually increased to a point where the IGT will eventually become a sronger winter season driven Tour.

The incorporation of Pro Ams into the IGT schedule is a new addition to the 2010/2011 schedule, with at least 4 Pro Am series' planned over the coming winter seaon. Each Pro Am series offers a 2 day Pro Am with prize money played in teams of 4 players - 1 pro + 3 amateurs - followed by an individual IGT professional tournament. During the 3 day IGT event, the Pro Am amateurs will simultaneously compete in a tournament designed specifically for them. At most of these Pro Am IGT tournaments priority will be given to IGT Members who enter with complete teams, with limited entries also available for the IGT individual 54 hole tournaments.

We trust this combination of various individual professional and Pro Am tournaments is attractive for the players, help the professional with lower participation costs, motivates pro's to bring amateurs to our events, and additonally offers more attractive prize funds. We also believe that by bringing more amateurs closer to the professionals, more business and sponsorship opportunities will arise for all the parties involved.
