The 2nd Pro Am Suisse Vilamoura was held from the 3rd to the 10th March with participants competing in 3 tournaments within the week, all held in glorious sunshine and fantastic golfing weather in the Vilamoura region of golf courses in the Algarve.

After a practice round on the Pinhal golf course on the 4th March which helped competitor's get some of the winter rustiness out of their games, various teams from Finland, Switzerland, Belgium and Italy took to the Millennium and Laguna gof courses to compete in the 1st two day Pro Am. Played in teams of 4 with 1 professional and 3 amateur's forming the teams in a 4 Ball BetterBall Stableford format, the winner's of the the 36 Hole 2nd Pro Am Suisse Vilamoura were as follow's:

• 1st Place: Pro - Daniel Silva, Olli Jauhianinen, Maarit Jauhiainen, Francisco Fraga - 146 pts.
• 2nd Place: Pro - Yvan Emery, Georges Besse, Luca Salvi, Monica Barsotti - 143 pts.
• 3rd Place: Pro - Jussi Kaarenmaa, Andreas Henricson, Bengt Henricson, Lise-Lotte Henricson - 141 pts.

After the initial 3 rounds of golf, competitors enjoyed a free day, then participated in the 18 Hole Pro Am held over the Victoria golf course on the 8th March played in a similar format. Once again played in fantastic golfing conditions over the host golf course of the Portugal Masters, with the Finnish family team of the Henricson's and Jussi Kaarenmaa as their Pro taking the top spot. Results were as follows:

1st Place: Pro - Jussi Kaarenmaa, Andreas Henricson, Bengt Henricson, Lise-Lotte Henricson - 81 pts.
2nd Place: Pro - Eric Aeschbach, Steve Aitken, João Silva, Pedro Silva - 81 pts.
3rd Place: Pro - Ari Koutaniemi, Jussi Ylivuori, Joel Ylivuori, Saari Ylivuori - 76 pts.

The 36 hole professional individual tournament began in the 18 hole Pro Am over the Victoria golf course, with the second round moving over to the Old Course on the final day of competition. The amateur participants also played their individual stableford competition over the Old Course, once again in super sunshine and perfect golfing weather. The pro's section of the 2nd Pro Am Suisse Vilamoura was comfortably won by Daniel Silva with Torsten Westerlund shooting his 1st ever even par round of golf off a 4 handicap and therefore winning the amateur competition.

Professional Individual Tournament Results 36 Holes:

• 1st Place - Daniel Silva - 146
• 2nd Place - Ari Koutaniemi - 155
• 3rd Place - Eric Aeschbach - 155

Amateur Individual Competition Results 18 Holes:

• 1st Place - Torsten Westerlund - 40 pts
• 2nd Place - Steve Aitken - 37 pts
• 3rd Place - Otto Ahtola - 35 pts
